The Decision Theater Network (DTN) received the Harman Innovation Award for “Video in the Learning Space” at the 2016 UBTech conference. The Harmon Innovation Awards, which recognize innovative use of AV and IT technology in higher education, are presented each year during the UBTech conference. The “Video in the Learning Space” award celebrates academic institutions that embrace exploratory approaches to content delivery to create effective learning environments. Sean Snitzer, who played a vital role in the design of the Decision Theater facility, was present to collect the award.

The Decision Theater facility is designed to promote collaborative learning through advanced data visualization and analytics technologies. The central "drum" room boasts seven 98" 4k displays, which are regularly utilized by professors to enhance the classroom experience. Moreover, the DTN engages researchers and clients interested in developing complex statistical models to explore long-term implications of decision making.
